Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Event Information

A Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) is when a utility, such as NorthWestern Energy, proactively and temporarily turns off power to an area of higher wildfire risk during extreme weather. A PSPS is a last resort measure to prevent wildfires and keep our communities safe.
